Simurgh Advanced Materials was established through the consensus and collaboration of a group of leading experts in Iran’s catalyst industry. The company is the result of joint efforts by experienced specialists and managers in the oil, gas, petrochemical, steel, and automotive sectors, each of whom has played a significant role in the development of the country’s catalyst industry.

Among the founders of this company, the name of Dr. Mehran Rezaei stands out as a distinguished scientist, full professor at Iran University of Science and Technology, and a well-known international figure in the field of catalysts, with more than 20 years of experience as R&D manager at Serv Co. In addition, Mr. Amir Hooman Karimi Vasigh, former CEO of Serv Co.—the first and largest producer of catalysts for the oil, gas, petrochemical, and steel industries in Iran—with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing industrial and automotive catalysts as well as home appliance components, is one of the key pillars in the establishment of this company.

Other founding members include Ms. Malihe Bagheri, who has 10 years of experience in the automotive industry and 15 years of service as Deputy for Planning and Projects at Serv Co. in the oil and gas sector. Mr. Alireza Goldar, with 30 years of experience in manufacturing automotive catalytic converters and exhaust systems and CEO of Arya Pak Mobadel, is also present as one of the technical co-founders of this group.

Alongside these figures, Dr. Ghasem Kasayian, with 8 years of experience in the oil and gas research unit of Serv Co. and 7 years of experience in the production of chemicals, adhesives, and resins, plays a key scientific and technical role within the company.

This elite and experienced team has come together with the goal of improving the quality level of automotive catalysts, reducing production costs, and harmonizing product standards in collaboration with major domestic automakers such as Iran Khodro, SAIPA, Kerman Motor, and Modiran Khodro. The company’s current production capacity is 450,000 automotive catalysts per year, and its industrial cooperation with the country’s automakers has already begun.

In its future plans, Simurgh Company aims to expand its activities over the next two years into automotive, petrochemical, and refinery industries. Given the strong track record of the founders and their valuable experience in related sectors, it is expected that this group will open new horizons in the development of indigenous catalyst technologies and in enhancing the industrial quality level of the country.
